A Reminder on the
"Scooter" Libby Affair

On this Fourth of July, 2007, a refresher on matters that most of the media is ignoring:

• I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby was part of a group in the White House that sought to corruptly support one of the lies used by President George W. Bush and the White House team to support the start of the war against the Iraqi people,
   
• So far, the lies of that group have resulted in the deaths, wounding, maiming, of close to a million people, has converted Iraq's infrastructure to waste, caused the dislocation of over one million people, generated the world's greatest growth of people wanting to kill Americans, and causing debts to mount that may bring about a financial catastrophe to make the financial depression of the 1930s child's play.
   
• The lies perpetrated by the White House group, of which Libby was a part, included a school-boy-type of outing of a covert CIA operative, the wife of former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson. The outing was to discredit Wilson's report that the yellow cake earth from Niger that Iraq was allegedly seeking to obtain, was one of the lies coming from the White House politicians.
   
• The outing of covert CIA agent Valerie Plane not only ruined her career, but also exposed the covert CIA company in Europe that she was using as a cover.
   
• And by exposing the covert CIA operation, those people who were associated with it, or who were seen visiting the company, were then suspected as spies. That could have, and may have, resulted in some being killed.
   
• The special counsel, Patrick Fitzgerald, who investigated and prosecuted Libby for the outing of the CIA agent and the covert CIA operation in Europe, who is of course a member of the Bush administration under Alberto Gonzales, totally ignored the people in the White House who were far more guilty of crimes that continues toss inflict such great harm throughout the world..
   
• The prosecution of Libby for perjury and obstruction of justice simply touched the outer fringes of far more serious criminal and subversive activities.
