Impossibility of a "Win" in Iraq

What Did President George W. Bush and
His Shills Mean by "Winning in Iraq"?

What did President George Bush and Senator John McCain, and their pundit shills mean by "winning in Iraq"?

"Winning," is achieving a goal. But the stated goal by President George W. Bush and his shills in starting a war was to:

  • Destroy the weapons of mass destruction (that they knew didn't exist).

  • To halt the support by Saddam Hussein for terrorists (when in fact terrorists were a threat to his regime and he was one of the greatest obstacles to their expansion).

  • To bring democracy to Iraq (when the various warring factions, tribes, religions, groups made the democracy form of government unobtainable through a foreign country invading and killing Iraqis).

The invasion had brought about the following changes, each of which are the exact contradiction of "winning":

  • Turned Iraqi cities into rubble.

  • Killed a reported 100,000 to 1 million Iraqis, including infants and children, and injured and maimed many more.

  • Iraqi cities, that former Iraq residents reported as relatively crime-free (as compared to crime-ravaged U.S. cities), were changed into warring factions between militias, tribes, sects, criminal gangs.

  • One of the most westernized nations, promoting rights to women and different religious groups, were turned into fanatic-like restrictions by religious groups.

  • The most effective country into opposing Iran was nullified, enabling Iran to extend its influence throughout the Middle East.

  • The Iraq block to al Qaeda was converted into a breeding ground for al Qaeda and a recruiting ground for an unprecedented increase of people wanting to kill Americans.

How can a "win" possibly exist under these conditions!
