Another Side to U.S. Threats Against Iran
Another Side to the Iranian Matter
Withheld From American Public
This writer lived in Iran for a period of time as an airline captain, and based on what he personally observed from his work and stay in the Middle East,, and considerable other information not generally known by the American public, he makes the following comments that are contrary to the line being fed to the public by U.S. politicians and their hacks in U.S. mainstream media:
- In 1953, the United States, under President Dwight Eisenhower, and through the standard practice of CIA personnel undermining foreign government, brought about the revolution that removed the former head of Iran, Mohammed Mossadegh, and replaced him with a CIA puppet, Mohammad Reza, also referred to as the Shah.
- U.S. tactics, under CIA Agent Kermit Roosevelt Jr., included paying people to riot, paying newspaper editors to run false stories, and the usual arsenal of dirty tricks used worldwide by CIA personnel.
- That prior government was considered the most democratic in Iran's history, and was a turning point. I was in Abadan, Iran, the morning that the revolution started.
- To maintain his position, the Shah engaged in brutal tactics, including torture, with the aid of U.S. personnel. This brutality caused people to flee into Mosques for protection, which pyramided into prominence the religious fanatics in Iran.
- The subverting of Iran by the United States followed decades of other foreign countries overthrowing Iranian leaders. The insult to the sovereignty of the Iranian people, combined with the brutality of the Shah's dreaded secret police, caused Iranians to rebel in 1979. The Shah fled Iran in January 1979.
- Shortly thereafter, Iranian students seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, holding 52 Americans captive for a total of 444 days.
- On January 21, 1981, the Iranians released the hostages. But behind that release was another ugly side of covert actions by U.S. politicians and CIA personnel. The full details are described in my book, Defrauding America, and based upon several years of information provided to me by several CIA agents that were part of the covert activities. (That book is available at amazon.com, and is now in two volumes.) Basically, here is what happened:
- While Jimmy Carter was president and coming up for election, a number of people, including George H.W. Bush, engaged in secret meetings with Iranians to delay the release of the hostages until after the November 1980 presidential elections. It was thought that if the Iranians released the hostages before the election, that President Jimmy Carter would be reelected and Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush would be defeated.
- As payment for not releasing the U.S. hostages, millions of dollars were secretly given to key Iranians, large quantities of U.S. weapons were secretly removed from U.S. armories and sent to Iran via Israel, and Iran was promised huge quantities of military weapons after Ronald Reagan was elected president. Several secret meetings were held in European cities to carry out this scheme, with George H.W. Bush at the final meeting in Paris.

- About this time frame, Iraq invaded Iran in September 1980, and an intense combat with heavy loss of life was occurring, which lasted until 1988. Later, during the Reagan-Bush presidency, the United States aided Iraq in the war against Iran by secretly supplying money, military weapons and intelligence. The United States supported Iraq's use of gas that resulted in many horrible deaths, as well as the ingredients to make such weapons.
- Some years later, when U.S. leaders were dissatisfied with Iraq's leader, Saddam Hussein, the same group of U.S. politicians lambasted Iraq for using chemical weapons, even though they had earlier approved their use and provided the money and even some of the raw ingredients for their production. (See Defrauding America.)
- Years later, as Iran attempted to build nuclear power plants, the same Republicans and other politicians ratcheted up the war mongering, pleasing Israel. They claimed that Iran could not have such facilities, even though countries throughout the world were building them. One reason Iran wanted nuclear power facilities was that Iran had to import large quantities of fuel for its people.
- Senator John McCain, and President George H.W. Bush, voiced approval for attacking Iran on the basis of their nuclear facilities. They agreed that it would be OK for Israel to attack Iran to halt the production of the nuclear power facilities. If such a strike by Israel did occur, the repercussions against the United States would be enormous, and could easily escalate into a major nuclear conflict. With thousands of nuclear missiles aimed at the United States, one doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to recognize what would remain of the American population. U.S. support for Israel had already bred decades of terrorist attacks including against the United States, and including the basis for the 9/11 attacks.
- The claims for American public consumption was that Iran would later build nuclear missiles. If that had been the case, there would have been plenty of time to consider actions to take. The fact that countries all around Iran had nuclear missiles appeared to be conveniently ignored. Especially the fact the Israel had a reported over 200 nuclear missiles, secretly built in defiance of UN and US mandates, with the help of money from the United States.
- Israel wanted to remain dominant as sole country in the immediate area having nuclear missiles, and did not want that lead to be erased by Iran having nuclear missiles. Also, Israel would have been forced to abandoned the territory they seized to prevent a nuclear attack upon itself.
- If any U.S. politician had in any way failed to support Israel's wishes, Jewish groups in the United States, dominant over U.S. politics, would have brought about the downfall of any such politician.
- Prevailing argument in the United States was that Iran, with nuclear missiles, would be a threat to the United States. What country, with one or two nuclear missiles, would dare attack the United States which had thousands of missiles available for instant retaliation!
- As usual, U.S. politicians are playing with fire, despite the history of catastrophic blowback consequences. Although Iranian's president, Mahumoud Ahmadinejad, has made some stupid statements and threats against Israel, based upon Israel's occupation of Palestinian land, that is no reason for the United States to be a puppet for Israel and continue the consequences, which included one of the reasons why terrorists continue to attack American interests and Middle East conflicts continue to escalate. Unfortunately, Americans don't recognize they price being paid for this practice.

Since Operation Black hawk when we were running items into the United States through the Panamanian into California and on into Arkansas these things have moved up a notch or three you know ...the choice now is not what can be done to stop it the real question is what can we do to alter it's course and can this great Idea of America get back on track or are we trapped into a world which has already moved beyond our ability to bring about the real freedom which we aspired to or to settle for the crumbs from the table of these who have already gone to far and have in fact consumed the ambition and hope that we once all had??
