Does Continued Funding of the Iraqi Invasion Protect American Military Personnel?

Does Funding Continuation of the
Iraq Invasion Help, or Harm,
American Military personnel?

What should be an obvious answer to the question, "Does funding continuation of the Iraq invasion help, or harm, American military personnel," has been muddled by those whose serial lying, and support for serial liars, resulted in over 4,000 dead U.S. military ;personnel and over 12,000 maimed and injured. Plus several hundred thousand Iraqis who were entitled to live just as much as American military personnel!

Is the continued funding of the invasion protecting American military personnel, or subjecting many to certain death or maiming?

As a former Naval Aviator, and with considerable government and foreign experience, here are a few thoughts:

Senator John McCain repeatedly argued for continued funding of the invasion of Iraq, claiming that by continuing the war that it protects American military personnel.

Continued funding insures that Americans remain in harms way in Iraq, and insures that more Americans will be killed and maimed.

Discontinuing funding would require bringing home American military personnel in Iraq, thereby eliminating the deaths and the maiming that would otherwise continue.

Most American politicians, and their shills, supported the fraud perpetrated upon a pathetically gullible−or deceived−American population. They repeatedly claimed that McCain is a hero (because he was shot down). Being shot down doesn't make one a hero. And spending several years as a prisoner of war doesn't make one a military expert.

McCain's war mongering, wanting to attack Iran, supporting Israel's attack upon Iran, is an example of how millions of Americans can be incinerated by being targeted with any of the thousands of nuclear missiles aimed at the United States.

One pathetic part of the military personnel killed, or maimed, is how some gullible and simple-minded parents, or wives, continue to support the politicians that fed them the lies that led to the deaths. Or who thought, and still do, that killing Iraqis by invading their country was the proper thing to do. How stupid, or arrogant, can these simple-minded people be! Since their initial support for the invasion, or worse, their continued support, one wonders whether to feel sorry for them, or angry against them. Possibly the widespread serial lying by those who conned the people into supporting the war, or the media people who covered up for the lies, shield them from the many Americans and Iraqis that have been killed.
