Proxy for the American People--and Suffering the Consequences
Are America's Politicians Acting
As Proxy for the American People?
Food for thought: Are America's leaders a proxy for the American People? A proxy is someone who had the authority to act for someone else. Since political leaders such as President George W. Bush, and members of Congress, authorized the invasion of a weak country, Iraq, resulting in over a million deaths, does that make those members of the American public that supported Bush, and/or approved the invasion, responsible for the deaths, misery, destruction of entire cities?
And if so, should they suffer the consequences of such brutal conduct?
