Have Bush's policies prevented further terrorist attacks upon the United States?

How Valid is the Bush Administration's Claim that an absence of terrorist attacks upon the United States is proof that it's policies have worked?

Consider the following facts:

  • The only reason why four groups of terrorists were able to so easily hijack four airliners on September 11, 2001, was due to a combination of documented misconduct by key people in the government's aviation safety offices, primarily the FAA, and the many people who covered up for these matters. (Details and documentation in the book, Unfriendly Skies: 20th and 21st Centuries.) This misconduct occurred during the Bush administration (but had been in existence and documented for several decades earlier, and the enablers of numerous prior airline disasters).

  • The most simplest of known measures prevented similar airline hijackings. The ludicrous other measures, including treating infants and children as possible terrorists, has been the extreme measures taken by people of limited experience and intelligence in government positions.

  • But don't breath too easily. As detailed in the book,, Defrauding America, a number of suitcase nuclear bombs had been smuggled out of Russia through Lithuania and may yet detonate in a major U.S. city.

  • The actions by the Bush administration have generated the greatest buildup in the world's history of people wanting to kill Americans. That doesn't exactly equate with success against further terrorist attacks.
