 Iraq: America's Unrecognized Quagmire

It is very possible that America's politicians are duplicating the same tactics as they used during the Vietnam War to keep the people from recognize the disaster they brought about by invading another country. Political talk is that program is being made in Iraq, after the U.S. destabilized one of the most stabilized countries in the Middle East, so as to avoid blame.
As U.S. troops start to withdraw, major bombings killing large numbers of people occur almost daily. The possible−or is it probable−sequence of events will include, among others:

  • Return of the civil war that raged earlier.

  • Destabilizing even more the Middle East.

  • Abandonment of weapons by the United States, adding to the three trillion dollar estimated cost of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
