Only one of Three Areas Creating Public Unrest is Recognized by the People
Three General Areas Creating Public Unrest—
Only One Recognized by the People
There are three major areas responsible for conditions in the United States that are the cause of unprecedented public concern and political discourse and rage.
The first one, ideology, is of course recognized by the public and the sole basis of political debate and protests.
The second, the high-level corrupt and criminal conduct, responsible for enabling the continual series of harmful events, is unrecognized and required a higher level of intelligence and motivation.
The third, the endemic cover-ups by most of the U.S. media and members of Congress, making possible the continuation of the second and the continual series of harmful events enabled by the high-level corruption.
These later two are far more responsible for the harm suffered by the people and the nation from hardcore corruption than that arising from differences in ideology. The public unrest totally ignores the worse of the problems affecting their lives.
Ideology in government offices. As it relates to current problems, this would include, for instance:
How to deal with the current financial crisis. Stimulus (borrowing and) spending or no stimulus (borrowing and) spending.
The housing problem, how to deal with it.
The national and the personal financial crisis, and how to now deal with it.
The loss of jobs, and how to now deal with the problem.
Constitutional rights as recognized for 200 years and the taking away of those rights.
Liberal versus conservative values.
Priority rights to certain groups under such names as affirmative action that is clearly unconstitutional.
Forced busing to please certain liberal groups, at great expense and harm to the general population.
Right to a gun for self protection.
Right to an abortion versus refusal for an abortion.
Right to privacy versus intrusive right to invade such privacy.
Capital punishment versus free room and board for vicious criminals.
And many other issues.
-
Endemic corruption in government operations. The corruption that has gravely affected the American people, national issues, has either directly caused, or enabled to occur, a series of events harmful to the people and national security. This is a seemingly endless list. These include, for instance:
-
The easy hijackings of four airliners on 9/11. Check www.defraudxdingamerica.com/911_index.html and the books, History of Aviation Disasters: 1950 to 9/11; and Lockerbie to 9/11: Massive Fraud and Consequences.

Years of preventable aviation disasters and deaths. See the book, History of Aviation Disasters: 1950 to 9/11; and www.unfriendlyskies.com.
-
Invasion of Iraq on basis of lies. See www.defraudingamerica.com/iraq_index.html and the book, Iraq, Lies, Cover-Ups, and Consequences.
-
Invasion of Afghanistan on basis of lies and cover-ups. See www.defraudingamerica.com/afghanistan_index.html, and

-
Series of financial crises including savings and loan, those surfacing in 2008, credit cards, student loans, etc. See America's Housing and Financial Frauds and also Congress and Other Cesspools.
-
Corrupt war on drugs, which includes decades of drug smuggling by CIA assets and its protection by 16 intelligence agencies; false charges against innocent people; exorbitant prison sentences, perjured testimony, etc. See book, Drugging America by Rodney Stich.
-
Corruption in state and federal courts, endemic corruption in bankruptcy courts that strips people of their assets when seeking delay in financial obligations under Chapter 11. see book History of Aviation Disasters: 1950 to 9/11, and Defrauding America.
-
-
Endemic cover-ups of high-level corruption. Most of U.S. media, political pundits.
Addressing only the first issue will not halt the harm directly resulting from high-level corruption or enabled to occur by that culture. Sampling of this type of harm includes:
-
Textbook example of the people and groups involved in endemic corruption affecting the American people: Check www.defraudingamerica.com/lockerbie_index.html and also the book, Lockerbie to 9/11: Massive Fraud and Consequences.
-
Details of other forms of endemic corruption are documented in the books at www.defraudingamerica.com/list_of_books.html.

Since very few of the complaining people read these type of books, and thus remain ignorant of how they are taken for fools, things can expect to remain basically the same, with the exception that thoroughly unqualified people might be elected to offices where sophistication is required. Confronted with the military might of China, the need to intelligently address why so many people want to kill Americans, and things will surely become even more catastrophic.

Yep, this just about sums it up. I wish someone had told me all this when I was 21. It would have saved me a lot of grief when I was targeted by US intelligence (for my political activities) between 1987 and 2002. If I knew at the time these were just common criminals, it wouldn't have freaked me out so badly. I write about all this in my recent memoir THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY ACT: MEMOIR OF AN AMERICAN REFUGEE (www.stuartbramhall.com). I currently live "in exile" in New Zealand.
The only 2 things I would add under ideology would be the conflict over anthropogenic climate change and the conflict between the concept of copyright/intellectual property and the open source/creative commons concept that is embraced by most of the developed and developing world. And which is leaving the US far behind in the development of sustainability related technology.
As a prudent person, I think the safest course is to entertain the possibility that climate change is real (there's no way to prove absolutely that it isn't). If it is real, the US is way behind the developed and the developing world - which are all embracing open source/creative commons licensing as the fastest way to spread green technology as widely as possible.
