One-Sided Grief
Over Senseless Murders

National grief and outrage is certainly proper for the Tucson murders. But what of the tens of thousands of other deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, many far more brutal, and including children and infants, inflicted by the U.S. military upon the orders of president George W. Bush initially, and then extended by President Barack Obama, with the support of most Americans that made the deaths possible.

What was the justification for the murders of tens of thousands of Iraqis? Serial lying by President Bush and his shills, that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 hijackings and murders. That lie was then followed by others, in the face of irrefutable evidence that he was lying, the evidence of which was available to Americans that approved the murders!

The justification for killing tens of thousands of Afghans, including children and infants? One section of the al Qaeda group was in the remote and largely uncontrolled area of mountainous Afghanistan, and totally unaware of the planned hijackings by al Qaeda personnel located in various European countries and inside the United States. The Taliban government of Afghanistan offered to turn the al Qaeda group over to a third nation for trial (as was done with the so-called Libyan bombers of Pan Am Flight 103), but Bush refused.

Sampling of pictures of the tens of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan people killed by U.S. forces, with the approval of most U.S. residents, are totally ignored by the American people that played a role in their murders.

Making the position of most Americans even more contemptible is the fact that the major enablers for the success of the 9/11 hijackers were key people in the United States for which their enabling role is well documented. The same Americans approving the slaughter of Afghans and Iraqis approve the actions of their own!
