Screwing the American Public
(The Lockerbie Tragedy of 270 Deaths)

This is one in a series of articles on how key people in the government of the United States, and their shills in the media and elsewhere, have been and continue to trick the American public through a series of corrupt acts, which then either directly inflict, or enable to inflict, harmful, sometimes, deadly, and sometimes catastrophic consequences. Unfortunately, to understand this segment of the many other forms of duping the public requires the exercise of mental energy. This example evolves around the investigation by personnel of the U.S. Department of Justice into the downing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie that killed 270 people.

The key issues include:

• DOJ personnel fabricating evidence to blame Libya.
   
• DOJ personnel fabricating evidence to blame two Libyans.
   
• DOJ personnel covering up for the actual perpetrators.
   
• Continuation of corrupt culture of personnel in control of the U.S. Department of Justice, which culture then play8ed major enabling roles in several subsequent and major terrorist attacks on U.S. targets.

Preliminary information on the Lockerbie bombing of Pan American Flight 103.

• The reason the bomb was placed on Pan American Airlines Flight 103.
   
  • The commander on the U.S. Navy ship U.S.S. Vincennes, Captain Will Rogers III, recklessly ordered the shooting down of an Iranian airliner that had just departed from nearby Abadan and was climbing on a regular scheduled flight on a civil airways. The 290 people on that flight were going to holy sites in Saudi Arabia, as part of Ramadan, and known as the Hajj.  That occurred on July 3, 1988.
     
  • Shortly after it happened, President Ronald Reagan justified the U.S. Navy commander's shooting down of the aircraft and the murder of 290 people.
     
  • President George H.W. Bush thereafter awarded the commanding officer, that ordered the shooting down of the passenger airliner, with a medal.
     
  • Iranian officials publicly stated that they would retaliate. They halted their determination to retaliate after the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
     
  • On December 21, 1988, the threat was carried out, with the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 shortly after departing London's Heathrow Airports, with the bulk of the aircraft and occupants crashing into the town of Lockerbie, Scotland. A total of 270 people were killed.
     
  • Shortly after the bombing had occurred, evidence surfaced that Iranian officials had paid money to the Syrian-based group known as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP-GC), headed by Abu Nidal.  
     
  • For over a year it was known that the Syrian-based group had placed the bomb on the aircraft and was paid by Iranian officials to do so.

  Requirement to Protect the Guilty and Place Blame on Innocents
   

  • Approximately a year after the downing of Pan Am Flight 103, August 2, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait (assisted with previous U.S. financial and military help).
     
  • President H.W. Bush (Sr.) then sought a coalition of nations to wage war on Iraq and force Iraq's withdrawal from Kuwait. This required the involvement of Iran and Syria—the two nations responsible for the downing of Pan Am Flight 103.
     
  • Heavily involved in the investigation of the Pan Am downing from the first day were large numbers of FBI and CIA agents, controlling the investigation by the small Scottish police force that was not up to the task.
     
  • As shown by the evidence (described in the books by Rodney Stich, Lockerbie to 9/11, and History of Aviation Disasters: 1950 to 9/11, the evidence shows that:
     
    • FBI agents obtained a thumbnail size section of a bomb timer board from an employee of the Swiss company that manufactured and then claimed they found it, six months after the bombing, in the mud―many miles from the main wreckage.
       
    • With the planting of this evidence, FBI agents then claimed that the timer board fragment has been previously sold to Libya and therefore Libya was responsible for the bombing.
       
    • The owner of the Swiss company producing the timer board fragment contradicted that position, but remained silent after FBI agents threatened to charge him in the conspiracy to the murder of the 270 people in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
       
    • FBI agents claimed that they found the suitcase that contained the bomb, and that the suitcase contained infant's clothing. That scenario required that the fire and heat from the explosives that tore apart the huge 747 did not totally destroy the suitcase and especially the infant clothing. That miraculous event enabled the web of intrigue to expand into more miraculous events.
       
    • The placement of the bomb was actually enabled at London's Heathrow Airport as part of a CIA smuggling operation (described in the books.)

    • After falsely accusing Libya, FBI personnel then fabricated a story as to how the bomb was placed on the aircraft, with no evidence whatsoever, and contrary to the facts.

    DOJ Personnel Fabricating
    Story of How The Suitcase Was Placed on Pan Am Flight 103
     

    • U.S. Department of Justice personnel fabricated out of whole cloth that the bomb was placed on an airliner departing the Malta Airport in an unaccompanied bag at Malta. There was strict security at all airports not to allow unaccompanied bags to be placed on aircraft. That imaginary bag, containing the alleged bomb, allegedly passed undetected through:
       
      • Outgoing security at Malta Airport.
         
      • Incoming security at Frankfurt Airport.
         
      • Outgoing security at Frankfurt Airport.
         
      • Incoming security at London's Heathrow Airport.
         
      • Outgoing security at London's Heathrow Airport, as the alleged bomb-containing bag was placed on Pan Am Flight 103.
    • The Department of Justice personnel fabrication required that at FBI-fabricated scenario required and just-short of impossible breakdown in security at the outboard flight at Malta; the incoming security at Frankfurt; the outgoing security at Frankfurt; the incoming security at London; and the outgoing security at London.
       
    • To complete the fabricated story, FBI agents had to fabricate (a) that fragile infant's clothing that allegedly was in the bomb-carrying suitcase not only survived the enormous heat of the bomb blast, but retained a somewhat pristine condition so that that the clothing could be recognized by a shopkeeper in Malta that allegedly sold the clothes a year or two earlier.
       
    • That scheme required the cooperation of a storekeeper in Malta that could identify the miraculously survived infant's clothes—from all the other clothes he sold, and also recognize the person that purchased the clothes from all his other customers, a year or two after the fact. During the subsequent investigations the storekeeper repeatedly stated during interviews that he did not recognize the person selected by the FBI to have purchased the clothes. However, at trial, being offered close to a million dollars, he managed to testify that a Libyan airports worker was the one who purchased the clothes.
       
    • It was now necessary to find someone that could testify that he saw two Libyans place the suitcase on a Malta airliner—which then had to pass undetected through five rigid security checks. By paying over a million dollars to a Malta person, that testimony came about. The payment of over a million dollars—beyond the dream of most anyone in the Middle East, enabled this top occur. Who could refuse such an offer to not only become a millionaire, but to do it with the blessing of the highest law enforcement agency in the United States!
       
    • Two Libyans were then selected by FBI personnel to have placed the bomb on a departing aircraft at Malta.
       
    • However, even though two Libyans were accused of being seen by the FBI's heavily paid witness, the Scottish judge found the witness's testimony so devoid of credibility, that the charges were dropped from one of the two defendants. This revealed one of the many judicial irregularities: how could one defendant of the two allegedly acting together be held innocent while finding the other one guilty—solely on the ridiculed testimony of the FBI-paid witness!!

  FBI Forensic Expert Found
  Fabricating Evidence

  During the court proceedings, it was discovered that the FBI forensic technician that had given testimony during trial had lied, and thereafter lost his job.

  The United Nations had an observer present throughout the trial and reported massive irregularities. Despite the contradictions, the Scottish judicial system ruled that the one Libyan was guilty.

  ---

  Urgent Need to Halt the Libyan's Appeal

  After the end of the trial, a massive amount of evidence surfaced that showed the web of criminality by FBI agents ad U.S. Department of Justice personnel. This evidence was reported by British newspapers, while the U.S. media continued the cover-ups; continued to blame the innocent Libyan for the bombing, a standard practice that existed for decades, and continues to this day, enabling  to occur grave consequences for the American people.

  Unless that appeal was halted, it would reveal a level of criminality involving key people in the U.S. government, and complicity of Scottish prosecutors and judges. The prostate cancer in the convicted Libya provided an opportunity to grant him his freedom—but only if the appeal was dropped.

  Despite the knowledge that the appeal contained evidence that would have revealed these matters, the truth had to be blocked.

  Massive Complicity in the
  Hoax by U.S. Interests

Lawyers making millions from the lawsuits representing the families of the victims were sophisticated enough to known about the massive amount of evidence that showed Libya and the convicted Libyan had no role in the bombing, and that the guilty were being protected by personnel n the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. politicians, and others.

The families of the victims surely knew of at least part of this information. But if the innocent and falsely convicted Libyan was found innocent, ,and Libya not involved, they would lost millions. None showed any concern about the guilty being protected, or that the innocent Libyan was repeatedly vilified.

U.S. media personnel, whose work involved being aware of these public facts in Britain, keep the lid on the hoax.

The Consequences for Americans and National Security

This corrupt culture among the personnel of the U.S. Department of Justice would enable to occur a series of catastrophic terrorist successes against U.S. targets, which constitute still other forms of how the American people are screwed by their leaders in government.
